1. If you need extra insurance, you must choose “Express” service for your shipping option as HK Post only provide insurance for Express parcels.

2. The amount of indemnity shall be:

the item value declared on the shipping label; or

the value shown on the purchase invoice /receipt, and / or the transaction record of the articles lost (or in case of documents, the replacement cost);

3. Coverage: all risks of physical loss or damage of items by any external cause not excluded herein.

4. Excluded Risks: due to delay; inherent vice or nature of the items; confiscation, destruction, condemnation or detention of the items by customs authority at destination or its representative on the grounds of illegality, mis-description, mis-declaration or mis-valuation, and due to disaster, political risk, strike, nuclear explosion or war. All consequential loss or cost incurred will not be covered, or any other exclusion as per Open Cover.

5. Inapplicable Destination: Crimea, Syria, North Korea, Iran, Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova (Republic of), Mongolia, Turkmenistan, Venezuela, Cuba, Belarus, Libya, Myanmar, Russia, Ukraine and Uzbekistan (Republic of) &/ or United States Prohibited or United Nations Sanctioned Countries as per The Office of Foreign Assets Control ("OFAC") Regulations of the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

6. Incorrect or inaccurate description or incorrect premium will cause invalid claim.
